My friends at Mack Trucks set up a really fun weekend in Pocono, PA for me. I went to the biggest indoor water park in the USA and got to go to a NASCAR race in Pocono. I met Richard Petty and I got some lug nuts as souvenirs from one of the race cars in the pit area. I saw a giant globe made out of peeps in Lehigh, PA and sit in a massage chair at the airport and I had a bunch of junk food. I got to see all my friends from Mack Trucks and I met some new friends too. Last but not least, I got the pilot to say happy birthday to my mom over the intercom on our flight home. My episode of Road Life airs on July 17th on Amazon Prime but a teaser video will be out at the end of the week on social media. Please check it out and let my friends at Mack know if you liked it. #roadlife #ryansrecycling
Wow! Ryan featured on Lebron James Insta Story today. We’re all pretty excited about this around Ryan’s recycling headquarters. Thank you Lebron!
Hey everyone! I have great news! Thank you so much for being part of my first Ryan’s Recycling Challenge!
WE CRUSHED IT!
This challenge is officially over and we’ll be announcing a new one soon. Together we raised $1860 for the Pacific Marine Mammal Center and we recycled 310,525 cans and bottles! That’s a lot of plastic, glass and aluminum out of the landfill and environment where it’s bad for us and animals. The Pacific Marine Mammal Center will use the funds we raised to help buy fish, medicine and supplies for the animals they rescue. I’m excited we are able to help them out. You can find out more about them here: https://www.pacificmmc.org/
Just some fun facts about the 310,525 items we all recycled… If we lined up all the cans and bottles end to end, it would stretch over 58 miles long and if stacked on top of each other, it’s roughly ten times as tall as Mt. Everest! Wow!
Be sure to follow me on my web site and on social media to learn when the next recycling challenge will be. I want to thank all of you for making a big difference and helping save the planet.

When Valet Living and the City of Tampa invited Ryan out to Florida to participate in the Keep Tampa Bay Beautiful event, Ryan started packing his suitcase. It was a great day to help clean up the environment and Ryan led a large group of dedicated volunteers to pick up trash in the mangroves along the bay. Ryan had the best day with his new friends (and meeting up with a few old friends). The day after the event was a behind the scenes tour at Busch Gardens to see how their organization recycles cans, bottles, cardboard and even an elaborate composting program. (Lots of animals means lots of poop). Ryan got in a tour of Valet Living’s headquarters in Tampa and he is excited to be traveling around the country this summer with them telling people all about recycling!
WE DAY CALIFORNIA was held at the Los Angeles Forum on April 19th. I was asked to be a speaker at the event and it was super cool. I went up and rehearsed on Apr 17th for the morning with my Dad and then on the 19th, my Mom and Dad went with me. I got to hang out in the green room most of the day and checking out the show from “Talent” seating. I got to meet a lot of famous people and I even had people want to take pictures with me too. So cool. I got to meet a lot of celebrities and I made some new friends. One of those friends was an 11 year old girl named Khloe Thompson and she runs KHLOE KARES. She puts together care packages for the homeless. I’m going to go help her with that soon and she’s going to come down and do a beach clean up with me too.
When it came time for me to go up on stage and tell my story about what I do, I got some butterflies in my stomach but I went out and did my best. It felt really cool to hear everyone cheering for me and I hope to do another event like this in the future. Thank you WE for having me on the show this year. Here’s a video link to my speaking part with my new friend Drew Scott!
Today I was a featured guest at our local landfill’s Earth Day event. It was so fun to meet everyone who came out to learn about recycling and saving the planet and I even got to see my friend Lisa Bartlett and meet Bryan Allen who played hockey for the Ducks! I got a really cool award today and I even won a worm farm in the raffle! Happy Earth Day everyone! #ryansrecycling #ocwasteandrecycling
