Last week I was a featured speaker at 瑪利亞社會福利基金會Maria Social Welfare Foundation’s 2021 HERO TALKS and got to speak to thousands of kids all across Taiwan. I had a great time and I wanted to say thank you to the team for all their hard work to make the virtual event happen. I had to stay up late (11:30 PM) to do this since it was live in Taiwan.
This H&M ROLE MODELS project was filmed last Fall and we went to Long Island, NY. It was pretty cold and it had been raining for the week so we got stuck in our hotel room for a few days waiting for the sun to come out. It’s the biggest production I have ever seen on a project so far. This is the teaser video for the campaign launch which is in 74 countries and I’ll be featured in over 5000 H&M stores around the world. Thank you H&M for having me part of the project. I met some new friends during the trip and visited some old friends while in the city too. #recyclelikeryan

I had a fun time filming for Nickelodeon’s “Kids and the Impact on Climate Change” special. I met some amazing kids and learned some new things too. If you didn’t catch it on tv tonight, hopefully the highlights will be online. We filmed against a green screen surrounding us so it was really cool to see how they dropped in a background on the show. Earth Day is almost here but you don’t have to wait until 4/22 to make a difference. Pick up a piece of trash or recycle what you can. Every bit helps!
I’m so excited to be working with Old Navy! Young Change Makers: How Ryan Hickman of Ryan’s Recycling Is Helping To Make A Difference In Our World
Eleven-year-old Ryan Hickman has become an international icon for recycling and environmental awareness. Ryan started Ryan’s Recycling when he was just three years old and has since recycled over 1.2 million bottles and cans (over 67 tons) over the past eight years in his effort to clean up the planet and to keep pollution out of our oceans and landfills. Ryan leads and organizes weekly beach clean-up events in his community and he travels internationally speaking about recycling and saving our planet from plastic pollution. Ryan started a recycling program within his elementary school and Ryan also volunteers his time recording educational videos for schools and inspiring others all across the world through his recycling education events and his passion to make the world a cleaner place...
