Today was a fun day with all the amazing volunteers with the LA Kings organization. We had a great turnout at Dockweiler State Beach and we picked up 152 lbs of trash together. For those of you who have never been to Dockweiler State Beach, it’s at the end of the LAX runway so about every 5 minutes, another large plane is taking off overhead. It’s very interesting to see the planes flying so low overhead. We found the usual stuff – plastic pieces, small trash, cigarette butts, waterbottle lids, beach toys, etc + my dad found a $5 bill in the sand that he donated to Project3R.
